What Makes the Children’s Castle Special…
The Children’s Castle was founded in June 1984 by its owners, Jana Whiting and Janis Ridgley. Debbie Rogers, our Director, has been at the Castle for over 30 years and many of our teachers have 15 plus years with us.
The Castle is open year round from 7:30 to 5:00 and closed only on major Holidays. Our school provides private Kindergarten, preschool and childcare for children from West Newbury, Newburyport and our surrounding towns. We offer a variety of flexible programs. Our families can receive financial credit for vacations; one week for the school year option and two weeks for a full year.

Infant/ToddlerAges 3 months to 2 years 9 months. |

Full Day – (7:30 – 5:00) 3 months to 6 years.
Nursery/Kindergarten – (8:30 – 12:00) 2 years, 9 months to 6 years.
Extended Day – (8:30 – 2:30) 2 years, 9 months to 6 years.
School Age – (7:30 – 8:30 and 3:00 – 5:00) 5 and 6 years.
All of the above programs are offered two, three, or five days per week. A full year (12 month) program is available for all children. A school year (10 months) program is available for children 2.9 and older. Children are allowed 1 week vacation credit during the school year and 2 weeks vacation credit is available for the full year.
Summer Program
Mature, qualified teachers create a safe, cool summer experience. The children have lots of fun with sprinklers, smalls pools, a “jumpy house”, slip and slides and a tricycle track. High interest summer themes are offered each week. Children can enroll for the summer only and are allowed one week of vacation credit.
