Testimonials
I am absolutely honored to write this testimonial for your website. I truly cannot express how wonderful it has been to be a part of your castle family. Thank you for this amazing establishment! Cameron and Teagan have LOVED their time at the castle and I cannot believe it is over 🙁
We instantly felt a sense of comfort and care the moment we stepped foot in the Children’s Castle six years ago (when our oldest was 2). Since that time, our three children have enjoyed and continue to thrive in the family-like atmosphere at the Castle. We love the camaraderie among parents that the school’s Parent Council offers as well as the many after-hours activities and parties that go above and beyond for the children. You won’t find another preschool that compares to the Castle’s compassionate teachers and experienced leaders. We often joke that we had another baby just so we could continue at the Children’s Castle!
I can’t say enough about how nurturing and caring the Children’s Castle has been for our three girls. We have had children attend the Castle all the way from infants through kindergarten, and all of their teachers have been compassionate, creative and all around wonderful people. The staff is genuinely interested in each child, and they make certain that they are not only well cared for, but are also learning new skills throughout the year. The Castle is so accommodating to the needs of each family, and they genuinely get to know each child who is there. I have often said that I wish the Castle would provide teaching up through high school!
I’ll never forget how tough it was to enroll my first child into a preschool program. Like any new parent, I explored the many options in our area. We set up an appointment for a tour at the Children’s Castle and upon our arrival, Miss Janis took my son’s hand and with a big smile said “Hi! Welcome to the Castle, let me show you around.” I felt for the first time in the weeks of my exploration that someone was truly interested in my son and not just trying to sell me on their methodologies or educational theories. He was only 2 after all. The most important thing for me was for him to feel safe, comfortable, nurtured and loved by the people who were caring for him in my absence. I can honestly say that everyone at the Children’s Castle has exceeded my expectations with both my son and my daughter. With just enough structure for learning, and plenty of free time for play, the program at the Children’s Castle has helped to prepare my children for the social and academic challenges that are waiting for them in elementary school.
When we were searching for a preschool, we were looking for a place with a nurturing environment to foster a love of school and offer true opportunities for play. That is exactly what we found at the Children’s Castle. Now, nine years later, we have two Castle graduates in our family and our youngest daughter is currently a Pre-K student. When it’s time for her to graduate, I’m sure there will be many tears shed — the teachers and directors of the Children’s Castle has become like family to us. It is truly a special place. The directors are lovely, and the teachers are warm, caring, positive, patient and experienced. Our children have been well-prepared for Kindergarten, given a strong foundation of literacy, math, handwriting and social skills. One of the things we love most about the Castle is the school’s philosophy of the importance of getting the kids outside to play, even in the cold New England months, when bundling up a classroom of toddlers may not be the easiest thing to do! The school has a wonderful playground and outdoor play space, and we feel our children have gained so much from the opportunity to get outside, really play and explore. Every year, we’re given beautiful portfolios sharing our children’s work and developmental and academic progress. We’ve also loved the strong sense of community and camaraderie we’ve felt over the year from other Children’s Castles families. There is an active parent council and really special family-centered events planned throughout the years. We’re so grateful for the doors the Children’s Castle has opened for our three children and for our family over the years.
The Children’s Castle gave our children a wonderful start: they were prepared — academically and socially — for kindergarten. They loved attending the school each day to see their friends and teachers. The Castle works hard to create a community among students, teachers and parents. It was a great experience!
We have been so pleased with Children’s Castle!! We love how the staff is always so warm and welcoming. The classrooms are well organized, filled with wonderful projects and are ever changing. The playground is very spacious with a nice variety of toys and structures for all ages! I love the involved Parent Council and the wonderful family events that they plan throughout the year. Children’s Castle has truly created a school family with wonderful traditions.
The Children’s Castle has become an amazing home away from home while our two kids are at school. Every teacher is amazing; our son has thrived in the toddler room having entered it with gross motor delays and just graduated as an active, jumping, running, laughing kid that you’d never know was so behind when he started! After a year in her preschool classroom, our daughter has made huge strides building her confidence and is a shadow of the shy toddler we brought to the school in September. We are so thankful and grateful to have such a loving, caring environment in our community with amazingly dedicated teachers and staff who invest in teacher training and development to keep on top of educational advancements. We love the close knit family community of the castle and getting to know the other families and love all of the extra curricular events put on by the Parents Council, which teams together to help form relationships between kids and parents a like!
The Children’s Castle has been an integral part of our lives for four years, since each of our two sons was a toddler. The care provided by the teachers and staff at “The Castle” (as it’s know in our house) has been exceptional, as both a loving, nurturing daycare and a school promoting independence, learning and growth. Beyond that The Castle is always open, with full year programs and full day options, which has been great four our family with 2 working parents. We’re certain our son will be well prepared for kindergarten this fall, but so sad for his time at The Castle to end.
I knew from the moment I took a tour at the Castle that it was a special place. My only regret is that I did not find it sooner! My son AJ (age 5) started at the Castle when he was 3 in Miss Jackie’s classroom and literally would run to the front door with excitement. His teachers have helped develop him into a confident, curious, and happy little boy. My younger son Landon (age 2) started when he was an infant. His teachers have all been caring, patient and knowledgeable. This set my mind at ease leaving him at such a young age. Now when he gets to school instead of saying “Home, Sweet Home” he says “Home, Sweet Castle” as he runs to the door. I can’t thank the teachers and administrators enough for the welcoming and nurturing environment they create each and every day.
Our family has cherished out time at the Children’s Castle over 3 children and 7 years. The Castle provides a wonderful, well rounded entry into early education. The caring staff provides a great education framework including fun crafts, outdoor play time and multi-sensory experiences. In addition to a strong early education platform, the school builds a sense of community among the children and their families. In turn, the school became part of our family. We will forever be grateful that our children were given such a great early educational experience.
Both of our daughters attended the Castle from toddlers to Kindergarten and loved it. The staff are very warm and friendly and the experiential learning was fantastic!
