Pre-Kindergarten

Our Pre-K program provides a learning environment and appropriate experiences to meet the needs of each child.  The Pre-K children develop their skills through a high interest, theme-based curriculum, socialization and exploration of the classroom centers.  They are exposed to letters and numbers through a whole language approach using big books, experience charts, quality literature, and “play” areas.  A letter of the week is introduced in a fun way using the Writing without Tears program.  We provide encouragement for children who are ready and show an interest in pre-reading skills by enhancing their projects and activities to meet their skill level. Hands-on activities develop readiness and social skills, and provide opportunities to explore the areas of math, art, language, science, and music.
